Video Training was the perfect course for me. In just one day I learnt everything I needed to know about creating, filming and editing video clips that would effectively promote my business. Handy tips like the importance of mics, understanding light, working around weather, the best editing app to use and how to use it. I learnt how to add music to my videos, voiceover the film, overlay ticker tapes; in short (and the course was short, literally one day), I walked away perfectly equipped to make professional videos that would represent me and my business in the best possible light. I also got a list of the equipment required, (which is not much) and the best places to get it. Aileen has a depth and breadth of experience that is invaluable. She made this easy. She made it simple and understandable. She also happens to be one of the nicest, friendliest people on the planet. Training days are often dull, boring events that you struggle to get through. This was a fun, lively, highly interactive day, where I was constantly learning and enjoying the process. I strongly recommend this course for anyone looking to up their game, or even just to simply understand how to go about making professional video content. It is excellent value for money, you won't be disappointed, and you will definitely use what you learnt time and again.

I did the smartphone video training course with Aileen O’Meara Media. I found it very practical, very easy to understand, and also most importantly very usable. Since doing the course with Aileen I have been able to do one minute or one and a half minute videos with my clients live at events. If there is a launch of a report or some research, we’ve been able to do a one-minute clip explaining what the findings and key messages are. I have then been able to take those clips from my phone back and edit them, get them up on to YouTube for my clients, and then my clients have been very pleased because they have been able to use these on their website, use them on their social media, and also, I have been able to add an additional service for my clients and that has added to the sense of value that I am able to bring to them. The training course came in really handy over the last few months. We were able to get our lovely Forget Me Nots choir on Zoom to get connected again! Many of them are aged over 80 and about a third are living with dementia so a visual aid was very useful indeed! The video really did the trick and helped us all to connect. We had over 100 older people on Zoom twice a week since April!

I took part in the ICTU Online Video Training and I am most grateful to you and ICTU for giving me this opportunity. I found that it was a most valuable experience and I learned so much over a short period. Aileen O'Meara is an excellent tutor and made it easy to learn. While I had done short videos myself before, they were only very basic ones. The tutorials were great and easy to follow and they went through the whole process step-by-step.
